Hi, I’m Benji Cappel, and I’m thrilled you’re here! I’m a 22-year-old artist from Joliet, Illinois, a south-side suburb of Chicago. I’m currently finishing my senior year studying marketing and music business, but my real passion is making music and telling stories. Whether you’re here for the music, stories, or simply to explore, I’m excited to have you along.
I create pop music influenced by a mix of pop, RnB, and dance music. For me, music is more than sound—it’s art and a way of life. I believe my purpose is to create and enjoy art. That’s why I find so much joy in writing songs and contributing to creative projects. Every part of the process excites me, whether I’m collaborating or performing.
This site is more than a space for my music. It’s a place for shared experiences, personal growth, and connection. As I navigate life in my 20s, I want to share lessons about identity, music, pop culture, and chasing dreams. I hope these stories resonate with you as we explore these topics together.
I also want this to be a community where we can learn and grow from each other. You can submit music recommendations, and I’ll feature them in my blog. There’s also a blog request section where you can suggest topics for me to write about. My goal is to create a space that feels introspective, fun, and full of meaningful conversations.
In July 2024, I released a single called “CAN’T REFUSE.” It’s a track with strong RnB influences, inspired by a run-in with an ex. The song captures the emotions of that moment and expresses feelings that are very real. You can find it on the “My Music” page, or through Spotify and Apple Music links at the top of this site. Plus, I have another single coming out in November, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
